The campsite is located on the outskirts of Oakhill, a small Mendip village, and handily positioned just a short walk from two wonderful pubs, The Oakhill Inn (which is dog friendly) and The Mendip Inn, both serving hot food. There is also a village shop and post office just a 20 minute walk or two minute drive down the country lane for your morning papers and essentials.
We have fifteen pitches in all including ten electric hook ups and five hard standings. There is also a self contained cabin available for the non campers which accommodates up to two adults (see 'Gert Lushing' on airbandb or contact us directly).
On site we have hot showers at no extra cost and of course toilets. And new this year is a hot water undercover washing up area. Your furry friends are welcome at no extra cost, we just ask that you pick up after them and keep them on a lead as there may be livestock in the neighbouring fields.
We're happy to recharge your batteries for a minimal fee and freeze your ice packs at no extra cost, just ask. Firepits are available to hire and logs can be purchased onsite, you're also welcome to have your own BBQ's, we just ask that you keep them raised off the ground.
Open from Good Friday or 31st March (whichever is earlier) to 30th October.
