Whether you fancy glamping with your friends or family camp or if you want to enjoy a romantic unique break with your significant other our cabins could really be the perfect break.

Both cabins are totally self contained with everything you need with a home from home feel.

We had an idyllic, peaceful stay at the cabin. It’s situated in a beautiful location. The local pub was excellent and was within walking distance from the cabin and just a short drive away, you can explore Bath, Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury. Would highly recommend!

Lovel stay in peaceful surroundings. Great communication from Charlotte the host right from the moment booking was made until when we left. Made us feel very welcome and made every effort to ensure our visit was as enjoyable as possible.

Beautiful log cabin

We have stayed for the weekend in their beautiful and extremely well equipped log cabin, everything you would need for your stay. Would highly recommend you try this place, owners were very helpful and considerate. Peaceful with great views.

Country bumpkin is unique, comfortable and the perfect couples romantic hideaway. With a kingsize bed, small kitchen, bathroom, dining area and your own private veranda meaning no matter the weather you are guaranteed to enjoy your time here. You will feel like a country bumpkin when its time to leave!

Gert Lushing is cosy, comfortable and the perfect rural couples retreat with a double bed, small kitchen area, bathroom and private veranda you will have the perfect base to explore what the Mendips have to offer. You will leave leave us and think "that was Gurt Lush!"

Why visit us?

Come and enjoy the beautiful untouched countryside and all it has to offer with an abundance of wildlife, wildflowers, traditional grasslands and woodlands. Due to our rural location we can also offer some spectacular star gazing.

We encourage bbqs so long as they are raised from the ground. Fire pits are available to hire. Log and kindling sales on site.

Located at the edge of Oakhill village near the recreation ground just off the A37. Google mapping is advised.

If you have a Sat Nav enter the postcode BA3 5BG via A37 and follow the signs for Oakhill Camping and Caravanning. Travelling south on the A37, drive through the village of Gurney Slade and after half a mile turn left at the turning just before the Mendip Inn. Follow this lane for half a mile until you reach a T-junction with a thatch cottage in front of you and turn right, then immediately left and again immediately right. 250 yards down this lane, turn right into the track leading to the campsite.

If you're travelling north, keep on the A37 NOT TURNING into the A367 BUT KEEP ON A37 turn right just after the Mendip Inn and follow the instructions above.
